A Family Decision
The next morning, over breakfast, Ada sat down with Tunde.
“We have a problem,” she said, stirring her tea.
Tunde raised an eyebrow. “What is it?”
Ada explained what had happened the night before—the short, struggling prayer, the constant distractions, the lack of meaningful conversations in their home.
Tunde sighed, rubbing his forehead. “You’re right. Even I’ve been spending too much time on my laptop.”
“So what do we do?” she asked.
Tunde thought for a moment, then smiled. “What if we introduce a ‘Tech-Free Tuesday’ in our home?”
Ada’s face lit up. “That’s a great idea! One day a week, no screens—just family time, prayer, and bonding.”
That evening, they gathered the kids and made the announcement.
“A whole day without my phone?!” Deborah exclaimed.“No games at all?!” Daniel groaned.
Ada and Tunde stood firm. “Let’s just try it,” they insisted.
